(John Wesley)

Welcome to Oxford's central Methodist church

"Through our worship, our prayers and our actions, we seek always to be faithful representatives of Christ, proclaiming the good news that God loves everyone"

Please join us for our regular Sunday services at 10.30 and 18.30

We are a Methodist church, a congregation involving people who come from a wide range of backgrounds. Our church community is enriched by the many visitors and members we welcome from other parts of the country and from overseas. We rejoice too in the company of all the students who worship with us during their time in Oxford.

The centre of our church life is worship, and it is here that week by week we renew our vision and receive the grace of God. We are always open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and through our worship, our prayers and our actions, we seek always to be faithful representatives of Christ, proclaiming the good news that God loves everyone.

Through all the range of our activities, our central purpose is to show the reality and relevance of being able to know God through Jesus Christ.

Wesley Memorial Church is situated right in the heart of Oxford, the historic University city where John Wesley first started the Methodist movement. Our city centre location presents us with exciting opportunities to put our faith into action, and we are always looking at ways to strengthen and broaden our outreach activities.

Do come and join us: a warm welcome is guaranteed! If you would like to explore spirituality and the Christian Faith, come and talk to us.
